He teaches Chipper about the history and habitat of Crissy Fields in the San Francisco Bay and other natural spaces where we can lean about the environment.

Elroy never loses an opportunity to learn and teach in his explorations of nature. He also remind Chipper to Leave No Trace and to respect the critters when visiting them in their natural habitats.
