Hi, I’m BRUCE the Banana Slug! I live at the base of trees and under leaves to stay moist. I’m yellow (most of the time – I can turn white, green or brown to camouflage!) and slimy and grow up to 10 inches long. Don’t say “yuck” because I eat leaves and other organic materials to help decompose and recycle the natural environment!
BRUCE the Banana Slug is a silly slimy and sustainable decomposer! Understanding his position in the ecosystem, Bruce approaches his life with enthusiasm; teaching children about his natural composting ways and the important relationship banana slugs have on the ecosystem.
Found in the Pacific Northwest, Bruce plays an important role in teaching children to respect the rules of Leave No Trace.
